Serve on a USLCA committee!

 MISSION:  To build and sustain a national association that advocates for lactation professionals

Director of External Affairs- Audrey Oyama, RN, MSN, IBLCE, RLC, HBCE

The Advocacy Committee will work to promote wider recognition and acceptance of the IBCLC credential in the public arena, among policy makers and within the health care system.

Director of MarketingRegina Camillieri, IBCLC, RLC

The Marketing Committee provides a forum for its members to network, plan, and communicate recommendations for marketing the IBCLC and USLCA as the professional organization for lactation consultants.

Director of Membership Services - Debbie Costello, RN, IBCLC, RLC

Membership Services Committee is responsible for communication tools for USLCA members.  This includes and is not limited to a newsletter, surveys, journal, web site, and internet communication tools.  The Membership Services Committee also interfaces with the other USLCA committees as they develop materials.

Director of Professional Development Barbara Robertson, BA, MA, IBLCE, RLC

The Education Committee identifies and facilitates access to quality continuing education programs for IBCLCs.

Director of Public Policy - Licensure/Legislation - Marsha Walker,RN, IBCLC, RLCThe role of the Licensure/Legislative Committee is to support local and state legislative efforts that seek to promote and protect the role of the IBCLC. Licensure for IBCLCs is the ultimate goal.

Hospital Staffing Committee - Karen Querna, RN, BSN, IBCLC, RLC
The majority of IBCLC's are employed in the hospital setting.  The Hospital IBCLC committee is working on model staffing standards and position statements.
