USLCA Treasurer, Marketing and Communication Committee Chair Karen Querna, RN, BSN, IBCLC received Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville in Louisville Ky. She has been an IBCLC since 1991. Karen has worked in variety of maternal child settings, in Kentucky, Minnesota and in Washington state. |
| Her training as a lactation consultant began at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland WA. She has been active in member of ILCA since the early 1990's. She was president of the Washington Association of Lactation Consultants and is a member of the Washington State Breastfeeding Coalition. She currently is employed as a hospital based lactation consultant in Spokane WA. She is married to Paul Querna, and has four children | |
