Faith Ploude, Lactation Services Manager for inpatient and outpatient services at Mercy Hospital located in Miami, Florida.  Faith has held this position since 2000. She is a graduate from Trinity International University and Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 1986.  Faith has 25 years experience in Maternal Child Health issues with emphasis on childbirth education, parenting education, infant massage and over 22 years in lactation counseling.

 

Working as a change agent, started The Family Collection, first Lactation Consultant in Miami-Dade County in private practice from 1981-2000. She has been an active member of ILCA since the 1987, working on several committees. She is one of the founding members of FLCA 1988 and served as its President from 1992-1994. Faith was instrumental in the developing the first Dade County’s Breastfeeding Task Force and from 1991-1994 served as Miami-Dade County Breastfeeding Coordinator for the WIC Department during the time of rapid change in public health issues.

 

Mrs. Ploude has also taught Breastfeeding Educator Courses at several colleges, hospitals, and university and with the latest endeavor as a board member for Florida Association for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH).

 

Faith and her husband Ronald have two daughters and reside in the Miami, Florida.
